	Look for the Rogues Gallery Writers Short Story Contest winners October 16, 2009!

                                         We have three winners!  The winners of the Rogues Gallery Writer's Short Story                   Contest are hidden behind the tabs above!  We are very excited to to                        announce these winners.  The judging was quite difficult.  These three                   stories were separated each by a mere point.  We think they are all                       all winners.  In fact, everyone who submitted a story is a winner because they                    they braved the frightening waters of submission. Thank you one and all!

 

Also in Rogues’ news, the Florida Writers Association (FWA) conference is right around the corner, and three of the four renowned Rogues will be in attendance.  In addition to panels, speakers and workshops, Friday night is the annual Open Mic event.  Jeff Sweksy has promised to deliver a rendition of one of his short stories, and knowing Jeff, it should be quite the twisted tale.  Also, Mike and Tracy’s new book (Loves Lost and Found), a collaboration of art and poetry, will be on sale at the book store, along with FWA’s new anthology From Our Family To Yours, featuring short stories by Jeff Swesky and yours truly.

The FWA conference will culminate in the Royal Palms Literary Awards banquet Saturday night.  The Rogues have 7 stories up for awards this year, and while we’re trying not to get too excited, we can’t help but practice our acceptance speeches in the mirror for the next two weeks….
